Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, by Jeff Kinney

This story starts on Greg Heffley's Christmas, which was a pretty dreary Christmas in my opinion. I STILL think that the newer books are better than the older ones, which includes this, even though they might actually be worse. But I do have one thing to say about this book: If you don't read the first two books in the series, then you won't understand this one. I guess it's one of the author's ways to earn extra money, I guess.
So why exactly is the book's title "The Last Straw"? This is because in this book, Greg gets wimpier everyday, and it is said that he will never stop being a wimp. This becomes the "last straw" with Greg's father (Frank Heffley), and Frank threatens to send Greg to military academy if he doesn't "shape up". So as you can see, the story is a bit less realistic in this book, but it is somewhat interesting, and makes you want to read the book. Are you wondering anything? Will Greg really get sent to military academy? But I'm not gonna tell you, or else I'll spoil everything for you. Better read the book to find out!
This time, the story was a bit less realistic, but that does give way to more interesting content. What happened this time was a bit more interesting. The New Year's resolutions for Greg's family were somewhat strange, but they were funny. And that's pretty much all the good stuff in this book. The rest is the same as the others.
So are you interested in this book? Wanna read it? Post a comment, and maybe I can lend it to you! :-)
